Miranda and Honey: A Team Built on Trust

Miranda is an Air Force veteran who served as a police officer. For the past year and a half, she has been training with her service dog, Honey, through South Dakota Service Dogs.

Before Honey, Miranda would deal with anxiety in public places that would end in her leaving just so she could breathe again. Now Honey alerts her when the tunnel vision and anxiety start, making her aware of how she's feeling so she can control it before it gets out of control.

Through their training, Miranda and Honey have built a deep bond based on trust and understanding. Honey helps her navigate daily life with confidence and independence, and her calm presence makes even the toughest days easier.
